David McGirr

David McGirr, a long-time business entrepreneur and former mayor and city commissioner, has been elected president and chief executive officer of Greater Huron Development Corporation. In many ways, serving as a former city commissioner, mayor and business owner and working in economic development has brought him to this point, he said. “It feels like it’s the right position at the right time,” McGirr said.

Ted Haeder

Ted Haeder, a Wolsey native, has been hired as vice president and workforce development coordinator. He comes to GHDC after 12 ½ years with the First Planning District in Watertown. “Ted brings a lot of experience working with local governments, state agencies and federal agencies and that will be important to the future of the organization,” McGirr said.

Marketing Director
Landon Neugebauer

Landon Neugebauer, a Mitchell native has been hired as Marketing Director for GHDC. Landon will be responsible for developing and implementing an integrated marketing and public relations strategy for GHDC. A recent graduate of Dakota Wesleyan University, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business/Entrepreneurial Leadership and a minor in Marketing and communications. “The Greater Huron Development Corporation is a perfect fit; I believe it will provide me with an ideal opportunity to transfer my academic knowledge into practical business know how within the Huron business community," Neugebauer said.
